The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of Pak Mission Society. His/her primary role is to ensure that the financial resources are effectively utilized, financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and financial policies and procedures are followed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient use of financial resources.
  2. Preparing financial statements, reports, and analyses to provide accurate and timely information to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  3. Keeping accurate financial records and ledgers.
  4. Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and reconciliations.
  5. Preparing and tracking budgets in conjunction with department heads.
  6. Maintaining payroll records as needed.
  7. Coordinating bank reconciliations and cash management.
  8. Communicating with stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  9. Working closely with department heads and senior management to develop budgets, track spending, and manage costs. This includes monitoring budget performance, analyzing variances, and providing insights and recommendations.
  10. Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and internal policies, staying updated on accounting standards, and supporting internal and external audit preparation and reporting.
What we are looking for:

Education & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (CPA or ACCA certification is a plus).

Work Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in a finance position.
  • Expertise in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical and numerical ability.
  • Good attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations that apply.
  • Capacity to work both autonomously and as a team player.

The responsibilities listed above cover most of the tasks that would be performed by the job holder; however, staff may be assigned any other official tasks as required.
