The Position:
We are seeking a qualified Senior Accountant. The successful candidate will be able to accurately maintain financial records and reports, preparation and generation of monthly financial analysis reports, have a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial transactions within an organization. The Senior Accountant will have excellent communication, business, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Recognition of revenue as per IFRS 15 and CSI policies along with updating detailed revenue report monthly.
  2. Review all costs and invoices to ensure prepaid costs and accruals are posted correctly at each month.
  3. Recognition of new leases and maintain lease schedules as per IFRS 16.
  4. Maintain monthly BS Reconciliations with supports.
  5. Monthly upload local statutory accounts TB.
  6. Maintain monthly reconciliation of local statutory accounts (Italian GAAP) to management accounts (IFRS).
  7. Maintain and update bank transactions on a weekly basis along with a detailed review for any cash surplus or deficit.
  8. Fixed Assets Management (fixed asset additions, disposals and reconciliation).
  9. Prepare AR aging reports, assist in preparation of the allowance of doubtful account provision and supporting material.
  10. Assist in the preparation of internal monthly financial statements related to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting within deadlines and with high attention to accuracy.
  11. Reconcile the AP and AR Subledgers to the General Ledger.
  12. Prepare workings for intercompany cross charges and maintain monthly Intercompany reconciliations along with posting FX revaluation journals.
  13. Provide support to finance team during internal and external audits.

  1. Be proactive and eager to contribute and learn, ask lots of questions, and provide solutions. Maintaining a continuous improvement mindset and proactively identify, review, and implement process improvements.
  2. When not receiving information or support required, proactively and aggressively identify and escalate this. Don't accept roadblocks.

Technical and Educational Qualifications

  1. Professionally qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required.
  2. A strong understanding of accounting guidelines, particularly IFRS-15 and IFRS-16 is strongly preferred, and acquisition accounting is a plus.
  3. Ability to manage and prioritize competing deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including advanced use of Excel workbooks.
