The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) is a not-for-profit healthcare institute that offers all medical services to their patients under one roof. In addition to the tertiary care hospital in Karachi, AKUH has a network of 4 secondary care hospitals, 30+ Medical Centres, and over 290+ Clinical Laboratories, 30+ Pharmacies in over 120+ cities across Pakistan. It also offers Home Healthcare Services and home deliveries of medicines. The Hospital provides Zakat for those patients who are eligible, and the health systems offers generous Patient Welfare to support those in financial need. In recognition of its high quality and patient safety, the AKUH is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as an Academic Medical Centre and its Clinical Laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for fast and accurate testing.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • attend phone calls and other correspondence on the behalf of the CMO
  • administer Time and Labor Module for the Department
  • supervise and coordinate the CMO's Calendar and Senior Manager – PED
  • provide administrative support to ACMOs and fulfills their daily assigned tasks
  • provides administrative support to three departments within Clinical Affairs Division (Department of Clinical Risk Management, Patient Experience Department and Department of Credentials, Privileges and Clinical Outcomes), in addition to the CMO
  • manage MSR, PR and ROP on Peoplesoft
  • take care of the CMO's Office fixed and running assets
  • manage the Hospital Policies Repository for the Central Office
  • administer and oversees the Patient Experience quality of the data entry for appreciations, and suggestions
  • coordinating the timely conduct and maintenance of records for Root Cause Analyses conducted for adverse and sentinel events
  • follow through and maintenance of records for research approval by the CMO, with issuance of letters of approval or otherwise
  • maintenance of central records for all the activities of Hospital Committees
Requirements

You should have:

  • 2 - 3 years of related experience
  • proficiency in using Microsoft Office, and knowledge of basic software
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • the ability to independently correspond in writing with the faculty and staff.
