EssenceMediacom is an agency of GroupM, the world's largest media investment company and part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Manager Media Buying to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating media deals for the company's local clients. You will handle media vendors and facilitate clients throughout the buying process and additional duties as assigned. The role includes both independent and coordinated buying initiatives.

This role reports to the Business Manager Planning & Buying.

In this role, your goals will be:In three months:
  • Complete knowledge of buying and planning systems.
  • Understanding of the m/SIX buying and planning process – includes basic understanding and importance of proprietary tools.
  • Execute basic media and proprietary campaigns.
In six months:
  • Conduct negotiations with partners and close deals.
  • Analyze and interpret data and its impact.
  • Develop strong relationships with partners.
In 12 months:
  • Develop, execute, and analyze negotiation deals.
  • Promote Mediacom proprietary products.
  • Close negotiation deals and manage assigned clients.
What your day looks like at EssenceMediacom:
  • Responsible for constructing airing deals.
  • Monitoring of KPI clients.
  • Ensuring keeping track of daily TV activities – Ratings.
  • Monitoring positions and droppages.
  • Monitoring competition.
  • Coordinating with other support functions.
  • Prepare CPRP workings.
  • Working with strategic units.
  • Coordination with channels to ensure placements and reduce droppages.
  • Generation of weekly droppage report and take up issues with the channel.
Minimum Qualification:
  • Must be a BBA / MBA from a reputable university or equivalent.
  • Must have at least 2+ years of media buying experience.
