Union Developers (Pvt.) Ltd. is currently in search of an individual for the position of "Application Support Analyst" based in Lahore, with a minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in similar role (please visit our website for more Company information "www.uniondevelopers.com).

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain utilities and automated reporting tools to streamline operations and enhance decision-

making.

- Conduct user training sessions to ensure effective use of applications and new features.

- Liaise with external vendors and development teams for issue resolution, application enhancements, and system

updates.

- Support application implementations and provide front-end application support during deployment and post-

go-live phases.

- Generate reports using queries; resolve data and reporting issues in real time.

- Refine and automate recurring processes, track application issues, and maintain documentation of changes.

- Manage job scheduling, availability, clustering, and replication tasks related to applications.

- Troubleshoot performance issues affecting application usability for end users.

- Monitor and maintain application audit controls and log files to ensure data integrity and security compliance.

- Propose and implement stored procedures (SPs) and functions to improve control and automation.

- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts for training sessions and successful software implementation.

- Support the creation, editing, and management of user roles, accounts, and access levels within applications.

- Clear report logs, manage user form edits, and assist with ongoing UI/UX improvements.

- Prepare and present detailed written reports and oral presentations for internal stakeholders and management.

- Monitor and analyze application performance metrics and ensure timely resolution of system issues.

- Track and manage development timelines for software changes and enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, SQL certification) are a plus.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in application support, systems analysis, or software implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting software issues, user training, and report generation.
  • Exposure to working with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
  • Experience in 24x7 support environments and incident management is an advantage.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Proficient in SQL for report generation, data correction, and issue troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of application servers, job scheduling, clustering, replication, and system availability tools.
  • Familiarity with application auditing, logging, and user access control management.
  • Understanding of scripting or automation tools for process optimization.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management and software implementation best practices.
  • Familiarity with tools for monitoring application performance and managing support tickets.
