• Fabricate and assemble prosthetic and orthotic devices, including component parts, sockets, and suspension systems under the guidance of the Prosthetist/Orthotist.
• Follow proper procedures and maintain records of materials and components issued from the store.
• Update the Supervisor on stock consumption and future stock requirements in a timely manner.
• Assist the P&O in casting and modification processes.
• Perform draping (molding), laminations, cutting, finishing, and making soft inserts (liners).
• Conduct bench alignment of devices according to specifications and instructions from the P&O.
• Assist in modifications during fitting or training sessions as needed.
• Perform final operations on devices, ensuring they meet safety and biomechanical standards, including the use of alignment and transfer tools.
• Maintain machinery and tools regularly, including oiling and cleaning.
• Report relevant information regarding devices to the P&O.
• Participate in follow-up procedures and repair of orthotic/prosthetic devices.
• Maintain confidentiality as per staff regulations.
• Adhere to protocols and regulations of the center.
• Follow safety precautions, such as wearing goggles, gloves, and masks, to prevent health hazards.
• Ensure production targets are met according to standards and supervisor instructions.
