Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with drivers, clients, and team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  2. Plan and optimize truck routes based on factors such as distance, traffic, and delivery deadlines.
  3. Communicate effectively with drivers to provide clear instructions, updates on routes, and address any issues that arise during transit.
  4. Monitor the progress of trucks using GPS tracking and communication systems to ensure deliveries are on track.
  5. Quickly adapt to unforeseen challenges such as traffic congestion, accidents, and road closures, and provide alternate routes when necessary.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of routes taken, delivery times, and incidents during transit.
  7. Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including hours of service limits and safety protocols.
  9. Utilize software and technology tools to streamline dispatching tasks and enhance overall efficiency.
  10. Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience as a truck dispatcher or in a similar logistics role.
  2. Strong geographical knowledge and understanding of transportation logistics.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with drivers, clients, and team members.
  4. Proficiency in using dispatching software and GPS tracking systems.
  5. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions to resolve unexpected challenges.
  6. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  7. Familiarity with hours of service regulations and transportation industry best practices.
  8. High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or education is a plus.
