Job Description

Are you a skilled Backend Developer with a passion for creating scalable and robust systems? Join Tekno Deal Portal, the parent company of Ahlan Rides, and help us build the core infrastructure powering the future of ride-hailing.

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient, secure, and high-performance APIs and backend systems while collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using modern programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs to handle real-time data processing.
  • Ensure high availability and scalability of backend services, especially during peak loads.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and mobile app teams to integrate APIs and backend services.
  • Manage database design, implementation, and optimization using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Work on server-side caching and performance optimization techniques.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot server and application issues to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Stay updated with the latest backend technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in backend development using Node.js, Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure for hosting and scaling backend services.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git/GitHub.
  • Knowledge of server-side caching techniques (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
  • Strong focus on security practices, including data encryption, SSL, and OAuth.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with real-time systems (e.g., WebSockets, Firebase, or SignalR).
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Express.js, Spring Boot, or Django.
