About the role:
To support the development and implementation of regulatory strategies and ensure compliance with telecom sector regulations. This role involves active engagement with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), government bodies, and internal stakeholders to influence public policy and manage regulatory risks.
Your Impactful Goals will include:
- Ensure Timely and Accurate Regulatory Reporting
- Maintain High Standards of Data Accuracy
- Enhance Cross-Stakeholder Collaboration
- Effectively Manage Numbering Resources
- Support Strategic Projects with Regulatory Input
- Strengthen Government and Regulator Relations
- Lead and coordinate with internal teams (Technology, Legal, Commercial, etc.) on timely collation of data for the purpose of various regulatory reporting and filing to PTA, MoITT and FAB.
- Ensure data sanitation prior to submission of data to PTA, MoITT and FAB.
- Liaise and coordinate with relevant internal as well as external stakeholders on various issues.
- Manage and align on numbering issues.
- Assess and guide relevant stakeholders on regulatory implications relating to products, services, and spectrum-related matters.
- Monitor regulatory compliance and provide input on strategic projects.
- Build and maintain working relationships with key government and regulatory bodies.
Transition into broader policy roles handling legislative engagement and cross-industry initiatives. Laterally movement into strategic functions contributing to M&As, spectrum strategy, and corporate planning.
What we're looking for:
Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Business, Economics, or Public Policy
Work Experience: 2-4 years of experience in telecom regulatory affairs, public policy, or government relations
Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:
- Strong regulatory operations and technical acumen
- Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Experience in engaging with senior government officials and representatives.
