Job Summary:
As a Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco equipment, Linux OS and VSAT technologies, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of our network systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, configure, and deploy network solutions using Cisco equipment and VSAT technologies to meet business requirements.
  2. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to assess network requirements and provide recommendations for network improvements or upgrades.
  4. Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  5. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, creation of VLANs, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  6. Configure and manage Yahsat VSAT, iDirect, Comtech terminals and satellite communication systems to ensure reliable connectivity.
  7. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  8. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to networking and satellite communications.
  9. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
  10. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network emergencies outside of regular business hours.
  11. Working in shift rotations to give 24/7 support to TheAngle customers.
Job Specification
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or equivalent experience.
  3. Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing Cisco-based network infrastructures.
  4. Strong understanding of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies.
  5. Experience with VSAT systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  6. Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Solid understanding of Linux OS and best practices.
  11. English speaking and writing, IELTS would be preferable, with a minimum score of 5.5.
