Software Quality Assurance Team Lead

The primary role is to support, evaluate, and test effectively and efficiently new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for testing of assigned projects including writing and executing the test cases.
  • Understanding of UML diagrams and other artifacts.
  • Defect management, which includes logging, reviewing, and tracking the bugs.
  • Understand the requirements fully and initiate discussions with concerned people to seek clarifications on unclear or unspecified requirements.
  • Perform impact analysis of the changed functional requirements.
  • Track self-progress as per the schedule.
  • Maintain and keep up to date all testing-related documents.
  • Set up and maintain the test environment.
  • Investigate customer problems referred by technical support.
  • Document automation and train QA test engineers to execute tests and interpret results, while also helping to groom the collective test automation skill set within the team.
Job Specification
  • More than 3 years of overall software quality assurance experience, with exposure to the full product development cycle from requirements through post-release. Able to formulate and implement effective test strategies and identify areas for significant efficiency gain through automation.
  • Vast experience of test automation with at least one commercial test tool package in a Windows client/server environment.
  • Possess a test-to-break attitude and be able to design positive and negative test scenarios based on the validation of controls.
  • Must be a good collaborator who is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to estimate task durations and meet schedules.
  • Detailed knowledge and passion for working in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of bug tracking workflow standards.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows functionality and relational databases (MS SQL), with Windows .NET technologies as an asset.
