Aga Khan University invites applications for a full-time position of Senior Assistant in the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences.

Responsibilities:You will be responsible for:

  • maintaining the department's data repository
  • using statistical software to analyze the department's research trends
  • providing support to the department's Grants Management Unit through the entire grants cycle from pre-award, grant management, to post-grant management
  • maintaining the department's social media presence and keeping the BBS portion of the AKU webpage updated
  • maintaining and digitalizing department files
  • drafting letters, emails and memoranda, formatting of documents, preparing PowerPoint presentations, scheduling meetings, taking minutes
  • providing support for mailing, photocopying, scanning/printing documents, and setting-up laptop multimedia
  • assisting the department with organizing events/workshops/symposium/seminars
  • providing administrative support to faculty in teaching and research-related activities.

Requirements:You should have:

  • a minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • a minimum of two years of relevant experience in administrative work
  • excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • fluency in written and spoken English.
