This is a mid junior-level position requiring the incumbent to have comprehensive understanding all stages of software testing from test planning to test closure, warranting a high-class end product for the consumer

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications
  • Identify, document, and track defects, errors, and inconsistencies in bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on web and mobile platforms
  • Collaborate with developers to understand system architecture and with Product Managers to discuss potential fixes along with improvements
  • Validate fixes and ensure they resolve the reported defects
  • Conduct impact analysis to ensure new changes do not negatively affect existing functionality
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and provide feedback in sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Maintain and update test documentation to reflect the latest changes and findings.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in software testing or Quality Assurance
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
  • Familiarity with testing techniques and types (functional, regression, integration, system
  • testing)
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Experience of mobile app testing on iOS and Android is mandatory
  • Knowledge of basic SQL queries and API testing is a plus.
  • Experience with load testing tools and techniques will be considered a plus.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless coordination and issue resolution
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing.
  • Experience with using Git and Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience in API testing, making use of tools like Postman.
