Position Summary

To ensure efficient inbound & outbound operations at the Nestlé Distribution Center/Raw & Packaging (R&P) materials warehousing operations based at the factory exhibiting leadership ability to manage team-requiring decision making to ensure day-to-day business.

A day in the life of Team Leader Operations
  • Ensure optimal staff / labor as well as MHEs utilization during shift
  • Coordinate with transport representative about availability of vehicles & maintaining required level of efficiency by avoiding halting
  • Ensure First Entry First Out (FEFO) / status control while loading/offloading of R&P materials
  • To ensure empty pallet supply to production and take corrective action in case of any shortage well before time
  • To provide traceability of R&P Materials/finished goods data as and when required
  • Ensuring compliance of all operations according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • To ensure implementation of Good Warehouse Practices & The Nestlé Food Safety Management System in the Warehousing operations/Distribution Center
  • To follow safety & environment responsibilities by ensuring implementation
  • Strict compliance of company rules & regulations
  • To accept additional duties and tasks in area other than initially assigned
  • To maintain building structure through internal & external assessments, ensuring PTW (permit to work) initiation/authorization when & where required
  • To ensure rejected materials lift back by suppliers well before defined time period
  • Reduction in warehouse damages & losses
  • Reduction in energy consumption through different initiatives
  • Managing visits & meetings
  • SFSC (Supplier Facing Supply Chain) initiatives with suppliers to create win win situation
  • Internal & external stakeholders management
What will make you Successful?
  • BE/MBA with at least 2 years of prior experience in Distribution/R&P Warehousing Operations in Supply Chain
  • Knowledge of MS Office, strong communication, presentation skills and SAP "MH Modules"
  • Proven ability to take initiatives with successful projects in place.
  • Ability to work with diverse and cross functional teams to ensure business continuity.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety & environmental sustainability.
  • Can do mindset & flexibility to manage/lead the change.
  • Out of the box thinking to adopt automation & digitalization.
  • Team's winning spirit, ability to handle/manage stress in tough situations.
  • Curious for learnings & positively contributing towards Organizational common goals.
  • Ability to manage shopfloor teams, especially in unionized atmosphere
