Role Description

YetiTech, a leader in software, website development, and IT services, is seeking a highly experienced and self-sufficient System Administrator to join our Lahore team. This critical role combines IT Service Management (ITSM), tool administration, hosting management, and website optimisation with a focus on delivering excellence in internal IT operations and client projects.

The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with a proven ability to manage diverse systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and streamline processes with minimal supervision. This role will report to the Engineering Department but is designed for an independent, results-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Service Management (ITSM)

1. Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related queries and support requests via Freshdesk.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, networking, and user tools.
3. Develop and manage an efficient ticket-handling system to meet SLAs and ensure excellent service delivery.
4. Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to minimise disruptions.

Tool Administration and User Management

1. Provision, configure, and maintain user accounts for Slack, Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other organisational tools.
2. Conduct regular audits of user accounts, permissions, and licenses to maintain security and compliance.
3. Optimise tool integrations and workflows for enhanced team productivity.

Hosting and Domain Management

1. Oversee WHMCS and cPanel environments, including customer hosting setups, migrations, purchasing domains, and troubleshooting.
2. Manage domain registration, DNS configurations, and SSL certificate installations across multiple platforms.
3. Ensure hosting environments are optimised for performance and security, with a focus on uptime and scalability.
4. Automate repetitive hosting and migration tasks to improve efficiency.

Infrastructure Management

1. Manage internal IT infrastructure, including hardware (laptops, desktops, networking equipment) and software systems.
2. Implement and enforce IT security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls.
3. Maintain documentation for IT policies, configurations, and procedures.

Training and Knowledge Sharing

1. Train team members on IT systems, tools, and security best practices.
2. Create comprehensive documentation for common tasks, troubleshooting guides, and processes.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills

1. Advanced knowledge of hosting environments (WHM, cPanel, Plesk) and DNS management.
2. Strong understanding of website optimisation tools and techniques (e.g., caching, CDN setup, performance monitoring).
3. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation.
4. Experience with ticketing systems like Freshdesk or Jira Service Desk.
5. Knowledge of IT security protocols, including encryption standards, intrusion detection, and risk management.

Experience

1. 3+ years of hands-on experience in system administration, ITSM, or a related role.
2. Proven experience managing WHMCS, cPanel, and domain/SSL configurations.
3. Strong background in user and tool management across platforms like Slack, Atlassian, and Google Workspace.
4. Demonstrated expertise in website optimisation and hosting migrations.

Education & Certifications

1. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or cPanel & WHM Administrator are highly desirable.
