Job Description

Responsible for promoting and demonstrating Infection Prevention and Control practices through visual aids and relevant IEC materials.

Conduct engagement sessions among healthcare workers at remote healthcare facilities and communities.

Promote community engagement and organize community sessions on Infection Prevention and Control.

Implement project activities through Mobile Van Unit (MVU) to promote IPC practices.

Attend local health forums, groups, and meetings to represent IPC, promote IPC, and maintain local partnerships. This may involve public speaking and presenting to small/medium groups.

Participate in team meetings, including district and community engagement meetings, providing updates and contributing to quarterly reports as directed.

Support communication strategies, such as public events, training, awareness sessions, and social media campaigns.

Support monitoring and supervision of IPC practices using the IHHN developed IPC checklist and contribute to program assessments using the IPCAF tool.

Develop monthly reports on IPC checklist, prepare IPC committee meeting minutes, and quarterly IPCAF reports.

Assist in district stakeholder and coordination meetings related to IPC waste management.

Assess health facilities with DFP and MEAL officers, identify gaps in IPC practices, and prepare training materials accordingly.

Orient youth volunteers on community sessions and support community activities.

Arrange and conduct IPC orientation sessions at the Center of Excellence for healthcare workers regularly.

Support district teams in organizing MVU sessions, developing route and activity plans, and preparing visit reports.

Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
