Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Environment Management System in Pakistan, including noise and other emissions, identify legal requirements in social and environmental compliance and ensure Coats facilities are following those requirements
- Ensure all Environment incidents/near misses are correctly reported to the cluster Compliance & CR Manager, through Intelex and other channels
- Make certain that reporting to group and local Environment Protection Bureau are correct and on time
- Represent Coats in local Environment Protection Bureau meetings, meeting local laws, Coats prescribed standards, ZDHC, ZWTL and other milestones as prescibed
- With support of chemical officer, update Chemical Inventory List for Coats Pakistan
- Ensure Material Safety Data Sheet are up to date and labels are align with the requirement of Globally Harmonized System
- Ensure Coats Pakistan Sites are complied with applicable laws, rules and regulations
- Conduct CR internal audit and drive corrective action plan
- Coordinate brands and other external CR audits for Coats Pakistan, drive the implementation of corrective actions
- Deliver supplier code audit, complete audit report and drive corrective action plans
- Drive Community engagement program in Pakistan
- Support Cluster Compliance and CR Manager, deliver other CR projects
- Ensure ESG Reporting, as per Coats Group requirement
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical/Textile Engineering
- A minimum of 7 to 8 years' experience in a Compliance Manager or similar position
- Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping
- Should have knowledge of local laws and regulations (of the textile industry)
- Certification- Lead Auditor in Environmental Management System
