Compliance Officer Role

The role of Compliance Officer is critical in ensuring that our organization meets all regulatory requirements and maintains a positive social and environmental impact. This position involves managing the Environment Management System, including noise and other emissions, and ensuring that our facilities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Environment Management System, including noise and other emissions
  • Ensure all Environment incidents/near misses are correctly reported to the cluster Compliance & CR Manager
  • Report to group and local Environment Protection Bureau on time
  • Represent the organization in local Environment Protection Bureau meetings
  • Update Chemical Inventory List for our organization
  • Ensure Material Safety Data Sheet are up to date and labels align with the requirement of Globally Harmonized System
  • Ensure our Sites are complied with applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Conduct Corporate Responsibility internal audit and drive corrective action plan
  • Coordinate brands and other external Corporate Responsibility audits
  • Deliver supplier code audit and complete audit report
  • Drive Community engagement program
  • Support Cluster Compliance and CR Manager in other Corporate Responsibility projects
  • Ensure ESG Reporting as per our Group requirement

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical/Textile Engineering
  • A minimum of 7 to 8 years' experience in a Compliance Manager or similar position
  • Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping
  • Knowledge of local laws and regulations (of the textile industry)
  • Certification- Lead Auditor in Environmental Management System
