About the Role:

The person will be responsible for timely and correct financial accounting and reporting of Telenor Pakistan & its subsidiaries in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and processes.

Your Impactful Goals will include:
  • Ensure compliance with Group/Local Policies and IFRS
  • Ensure all transactional accounting is accurately and timely processed in line with applicable accounting standards and policies
  • Lead and contribute to projects/initiatives for simplification and modernization of financial processes, systems/tools to bring efficiency
  • Implement controls to ensure authenticity and quality of financial statements
Your Typical Day will look like:
  • Provide financial and accounting advisory on complex accounting matters and new business streams in line with IFRS and Group policies
  • Review and improve current processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial reporting
  • Manage audit coordination with external and internal auditors
  • Prepare reports and presentations on financial results
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and consolidated management accounts

What we're looking for:

Education: ACCA, or C.A finalist, or Masters/Bachelor in Finance

Certification(s): Finance or Accounting

Work experience: 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Willingness to learn, implement new ideas, and lead improvement projects
  • Manage stakeholder expectations effectively
  • Handle heavy workload efficiently
  • Be independent and self-driven

  • Expertise in technical accounting aligned with applicable standards and best practices
  • Understanding of large entities' business processes and systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data
  • Ability to manage large volumes of complex data
