Position: Sr. Executive IT - Data Management & Data Science

Location: Islamabad

Reporting to: Sr. Manager Data Engineering

Job Type: Permanent

Job Purpose:

  • To join the Data Management Team on Data Engineering & ETL Development Role

Job Responsibilities:

  • .Job responsibilities will include understanding business requirements, designing and developing
  • ETL pipelines and to develop complete data loading process
  • Investigation of Unusual patterns and Fixing of Data Quality Issues.
  • Provide Operational Support in case of Failures
  • To Lead Data Engineering Initiatives as a Technical Lead for Big Data Platform Projects

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science / Engineering / Statistics and specialization will be preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Experience of minimum 3 years is required in Data Analytics Domain.

  • Should be passionate about data, information management, and its role for organizational decision making and performance boost.
  • Potential to achieve results with personal efforts and team coordination
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment and sustain pressure.

Skills – Job Specific:

  • Strong expertise in writing SQL is a must.
  • Good understanding and experience of Data Management.
  • Basic understanding of Telecom and cellular business.
  • Understanding of BI & DWH solution development methodology and in general System Development Life cycle.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and managing large Analytical Data
  • Ability to provide quick and accurate solutions to address critical business needs for information and insights of business stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis.
  • Basic knowledge in Analytics tools and technologies (e.g. Data warehouse, Hadoop).
  • Skilled in data governance, including metadata management, data quality, data standard, etc.
  • Knowledge of Teradata
  • Knowledge of Shell Scripting
  • Understanding of BI & DWH solution development methodology and in general System Development Life cycle
  • Sound understanding of Telecom and cellular business
  • Understanding of Data cleaning/purging
  • Knowledge of scripts automation in ETL & Shell scripting
