Team Lead

Client has immediate openings for a Team Lead with a focus on the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), who is both a strategic thinker and hands-on. The Team Lead will regulate project teams that may include Operations Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Application Developers, System Testers, and Systems Engineers. The Lead is responsible for the health and execution of projects, communication of project status to both clients and external stakeholders, and the integration of project activities through the exploration, planning, development, and deployment phases of the Project Life Cycle (PLC). PMI certification and prior experience with an application SDLC landscape that supports a Health Services environment will be an asset.

Manages the execution of projects within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope while minimizing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

1. Ability to lead onshore and coordinate with offshore teams to deliver application enhancements to existing applications.
2. Proven project management skills to manage projects from inception to implementation.
3. In-depth knowledge and ability to apply project development methodologies, reporting techniques, and measurement techniques.
4. A solid knowledge of the system development life cycle, and system and application program development technological alternatives.
5. Proven knowledge of client area's functions and systems.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills to work effectively with clients, peers, and IT management and staff.
7. Able to foster working relationships with the team and client departments.
8. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems.
9. Demonstrates working knowledge of project management (PMBOK methodology) and SDLC, and basic knowledge of program management.
10. Manages large projects with high complexity.
11. Responsible for all aspects of cost management, including estimating, funding, budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and reporting.
12. Manage invoices, purchase orders, and contracts/statements of work.
13. Establishes and executes a project communication plan, meeting facilitation, presentation, and delivery.
14. Demonstrated success in team leadership, stakeholder management, process adherence, ownership/commitment, learning agility, and risk management capabilities.
15. Works with product/project owner to ensure scope is explicitly defined and documented and maintains integrity of scope.
16. Proactively improves the project timeline through schedule management and progress tracking of schedule and budget.
17. Ensures project is delivered within approved budget, schedule, contingency, and meets quality standards.
18. Canvasses team to identify all project risks, develops mitigation strategies/plans, and works to have strategies in place should they be needed.
19. Negotiates conflict resolution when needed between team members or product owners.
20. Resolves conflict within the project team.
21. Utilizes motivation techniques to ensure project team reaches goals and milestones.
22. Negotiates with product owner to obtain key resources or materials.

1. Proven experience with MS Project, WBS, and SOW.
2. Recent experience in managing large projects with high complexity.
3. Strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to work with C-Level project sponsors.
4. Minimum 5 years experience preferred.
5. Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
6. Strong communications skills both oral and written.
7. Proficient PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
8. Demonstrates working knowledge of project management (PMBOK methodology) and SDLC, and basic knowledge of program management.
