Social Media Specialist

We are seeking a Social Media Specialist. The job requires 20 hours weekly with potential for full-time employment and telecommuting opportunity. The SMS will have social media experience on a business level and is expected to have the following skills and attributes:

  1. Excellent English writing and communication, strong editing skills
  2. Be creative with an eye for design
  3. Experience with social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, etc.
  4. Knowledge of digital media software like Photoshop or other graphic design software is preferred
  5. Knowledge of video editing software like iMovie, Final Cut, or Windows Live Movie Maker is a plus
  6. Create video blogs, write press releases, and Facebook posts daily
  7. Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence
  8. Ability to identify a target market and communicate effectively through social media
  9. Experience proofreading and editing
  10. Ability to deal with uncertainty
  11. Ability to contribute individually and participate in cross-functional teams
Job Specification

Responsibilities include:

  1. Creating new profiles and pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
  2. Uploading videos, photo albums, etc.
  3. Finding users to follow/friend/like our clients' business
  4. Writing and posting blog posts/tweets/updates, etc.
  5. Tracking the growth and impact of social media on our client's brands
  6. Replying to comments and messages
  7. Reporting findings to the team
  8. Ability to create and upload Twitter & YouTube backgrounds; minor video editing skills are a plus
