PAKISTAN TOBACCO COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR A SENIOR HR OFFICER

LOCATION: Jhelum

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

Supervise administrative and employee welfare services activities at Jhelum Factory to ensure full support to IRM in the compliance with all relevant legal laws & regulations. Supervise the Canteen and Fair Price Shop (FPS) affairs at Jhelum factory to ensure smooth functioning and quality delivery of food items and services to our shop floor employees.

Reports to: Industrial Relations Manager

Reporting Level: Individual Contributor

Geographic Scope: Local

What You Will Be Accountable For

1. Provide legal support to IRM in matters related to labor laws, their implementation, and compliance with the existing HR practices at Jhelum Factory (including annual court case returns & liability reports, follow-up on court cases, and court appearances on behalf of the company with lawyers, drafting court replies).
2. Ensure support and implementation of all welfare activities and company schemes for workers at Jhelum Factory.
3. Maintain and prepare all systems and documentation required for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits.
4. Compile and submit all related returns under labor laws, EOBI, PESSI, as well as periodic HR, IR, and GM reports.
5. Build strong networks and relationships with key stakeholders in government labor departments like EOBI and PESSI to safeguard the company's interests.
6. Prepare monthly/fortnightly reports on consumption patterns and market price variations, process contractor bills to ensure timely payments.
7. Monitor and prepare Canteen and FPS budgets to ensure minimal variance.
8. Prepare for local and international audits (e.g., EHS, 5S, ISO) and ensure full compliance with standards and procedures.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree in BA, BSc., HR, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in factory operations or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of labor laws, union regulations, and budgeting is an advantage.
