We are seeking an experienced PHP Team Lead Developer to oversee and guide our PHP development team in delivering high-quality web applications and backend services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in PHP (Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks), excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects from concept to delivery while mentoring team members and enforcing best practices.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of PHP developers (junior to senior level).
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Assign tasks, set goals, and ensure accountability and quality across the team.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture through knowledge sharing.
Technical Oversight
  • Architect and develop scalable, secure PHP-based applications.
  • Drive the technical roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies.
Project Delivery
  • Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, and QA teams on project planning.
  • Break down features into technical tasks and estimate timelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues.
Process Improvement
  • Refine development workflows and documentation standards.
  • Evaluate new technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC and agile methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of PHP development experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead role.
  • Proficiency in Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter frameworks.
  • Skilled in RESTful APIs, OOP, MVC architecture.
  • Hands-on with Git and version control.
  • Experience with Agile, Jira, and DevOps tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing remote or cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Open-source contributions or community involvement in PHP.
