BAT DBS PAKISTAN IS LOOKING FOR COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST (6 MONTH)

JOB TITLE: Commercial Finance Analyst – 6 month contract

LOCATION: Lahore, Pakistan

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

To provide timely proactive financial evaluation, information and advice that enables Commercial teams and management to develop and execute effective plans and take informed decisions. To help build strong financial and commercial awareness within the whole Commercial function.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

1. Support Commercial Finance Executives in analysing Trade Financials and Key Performance Indicators, to facilitate effective decision making and improve efficiency and effectiveness of spend.
2. Active involvement in month-end closing activities for relevant P&L items (Revenue, Gross Margin, Marketing Investment etc), including accruals / journal postings.
3. Assist with the preparation of budget/plan/forecasts with support from the team, and provide accurate and timely information to help Trade Team monitor on-going performance.
4. Track & monitor actual marketing investment spend vs budget, and flag where corrective action may be required.
5. Support and perform month-end/quarterly closing activities through processing journal postings/accounting entries/intercompany recharges.
6. Master Data maintenance.
7. Pricing memo review and pricing release in ECC system.
8. Update pricing and trading terms in BPC system.
9. PO creation / Open Items Management.
10. Customer Rebate Management and Reconciliations.
11. Run P&L / profitability reports by customer.
12. Prepare cashflow projections based on inputs from AP & AR.
13. Ensure accuracy and robustness of the relevant financial accounts, in line with International Accounting Standards with the correct levels of authority.
14. Ad hoc support as required by Commercial Finance Managers / Executives and Trade teams.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in finance functions (Corporate/Commercial).
3. Professional accountancy qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).
4. Basic understanding of financial statements.
5. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
6. Strong attention to detail, with diligence and resilience.
7. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
8. Proactive attitude with adaptability to change.
9. Passion for continuous process improvement.
10. Familiarity with SAP is an added advantage.

1. Establish credible and strong working relationships, acting as a trusted business and expert advisor to challenge and support the company's expenditure and overall performance.
2. Collaborate to deliver end-to-end finance services for regions, areas, and end markets.
3. Work closely with Finance Shared Service centers to provide high-quality, timely management information.
4. Identify and actively pursue opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Flexibility to handle ad hoc requirements and work within Australia time zone working hours.
