Business Analyst

Reporting directly to Global Chief Financial Officer, the Business Analyst will aggregate information comprising of financial and non-financial data to provide a representation of the performance of the organization by subsidiaries, products, services, solutions and projects; this aggregated information will enable the recipients to make informed decisions resulting in better performance which will also be able to be tracked and validated. Business Analyst will make recommendations and help influence operational decisions through quality analysis, research, and identification of trends and help in optimizing the business processes. While some data will be provided to the Business Analyst by subsidiaries or functional leads, the resource will need to conduct research and gather the required information in order to build that representation of the performance. The position requires excellent analytical skills and knowledge of the banking as well as the accepted financial standards.

Accountabilities

• Provides analysis of trends and forecasts based on the information provided and provides first level and recommends actions for optimization at country and network level;
• Conducts entire network's business performance analysis as well as country-level analysis;
• Liaises with Finance to provide support on report generation to Operations Department as needed;
• Conducts necessary research and gathers data to evaluate the assigned projects and new initiatives;
• Combines actual results into planned targets and determines the deficiencies;
• Works with Subsidiary management teams to identify the red flags for cost optimization and provides recommendations upon financial analysis;
• In coordination with IT, Data Management and Finance teams develops reporting system that depicts product profitability with analysis and audit statements;
• Gathers products' financial data, analyzes it and creates reports by segment, product line, channels showing the profitability/loss and presents it to management teams;
• Analyzes product prices and sales and develops models which predict the impact of price changes on sales and its profit or loss;
• Evaluates Customer Lifetime Value and gives recommendation on customer retention;
• Analyzes past results and develops predictive methods on collections and write-offs and its impacts; creates global standard targets of recoveries and performance levels;
• Defines KPIs and Dashboards to evaluate performance of business units, products, and channels; and to compare similar business units, products, and channels across different countries;
• Global (FMH Standalone) modeling.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics is required;
• ACCA, CFA or other financial certification will be considered as advantage.

Experience

• 3-5 years' experience in business analyses, financial analyses in a financial institution;
• Proven experience using Analytical Tools (WPS, SAS, R, Python, SQL) for data manipulation and data analysis;
• Familiarity with Project Management tools.

• Excellent knowledge of Ms. Office applications;

Language Skills

• Fluency in English is required;
• Fluency in other FINCA working languages, such as Spanish, French, or Russian is a plus.

Travel Requirements

• Availability to travel up to 30% of the time.
