Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance and Accounts Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various financial and accounting tasks, including reconciliation of reimbursements and official advances, handling bank-related matters, managing sales tax and income tax payments, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping and record maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciliation of Reimbursements and Official Advances:

  • Verify and reconcile reimbursements and official advances against records and receipts.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of reimbursement and advance transactions.

Bank-related Matters:

  • Create and process transactions on the bank's online portal.
  • Handle day-to-day banking activities such as deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers.
  • Maintain communication with bank representatives regarding account-related queries or issues.

Submission of Tax Payments:

  • Prepare and submit sales tax and income tax payments to the bank.
  • Visit the bank in person to deposit tax payments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Keep abreast of tax regulations and deadlines to avoid penalties.

Bookkeeping and Record Maintenance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
  • Perform data entry tasks to record financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
  • Assist in compiling financial data and generating reports for management review.
  • Provide support during audits by gathering and organizing relevant financial documents.
  • Assist the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental objectives and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory and bureaucratic landscape of education departments.
