The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting the development organization to seamlessly deliver scalable and highly reliable software at an accelerated pace with high quality. The team operates in a flexible agile model to manage the various on-premise and cloud environments ensuring the smooth operation of the delivery pipeline. The person in this role is expected to bring in-depth knowledge and experience in the DevOps space including expertise with Automation, CI/CD, Build & Release Management, installation and patching automation, and Cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities & Technologies
  • Become an SME on our business product and support it to ensure it is reliable and secure.
  • Work closely with internal networking and external clients for environment integrations.
  • Lead key DevOps initiatives for specific products.
  • Manage and support cloud development environments.
  • Provision and manage cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams in an Agile environment to remove roadblocks and facilitate successful delivery of work items.
  • Share knowledge on DevOps best practices, tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Follow Change Management Procedures (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement innovative solutions to drive efficiencies, simplicity, and speed.
  • Participate in long-term strategies for scalability, stability, and high availability of platforms.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Developer, SysAdmin, or DevOps engineer.
  • Experience with open source tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Git, etc.
  • Strong expertise in Jenkins.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, and scripting languages like Python, Perl.
  • Strong experience with Red Hat Linux and shell scripting.
  • Expertise in AWS, managing cloud infrastructure, and writing CloudFormation templates.
  • Experience with observability tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, CloudWatch, or GCP Cloud Logging.
  • Ability to influence and provide technical direction within an agile team.
  • Proactive team player capable of working in a dynamic, global environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, TCP/IP protocols.
  • Solid understanding of web architecture and design patterns.
