Job Summary:

  • This role is for a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer with expertise in DevOps, automation, and cloud technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting the development organization to deliver scalable and highly reliable software at an accelerated pace. They will operate in a flexible agile model to manage various on-premise and cloud environments ensuring the smooth operation of the delivery pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Becoming an SME on our business product and ensuring its reliability and security.
  • Collaborating with internal networking teams and external clients for environment integrations.
  • Leading key DevOps initiatives for specific products.
  • Managing and supporting cloud development environments.
  • Provisioning and managing cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
  • Working closely with engineering teams to remove roadblocks and facilitate successful delivery of work items.
  • Sharing knowledge on DevOps best practices, tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Following Change Management Procedures.
  • Identifying opportunities for automation and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Participating in long-term strategies for scalability, stability, and high availability of platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience as Developer, SysAdmin, or DevOps engineer.
  • Experience with open source tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Git, etc.
  • Strong expertise in Jenkins.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, and scripting languages like Python, Perl.
  • Strong experience with Red Hat Linux and shell scripting.
  • Expertise in AWS, managing cloud infrastructure, and writing CloudFormation templates.
  • Experience with observability tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, CloudWatch, or GCP Cloud Logging.
  • Ability to influence and provide technical direction within an agile team.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, TCP/IP protocols.
  • Solid understanding of web architecture and design patterns.
