Job Description
  • Attend to patients with a comprehensive approach, aiming to make differential and working diagnoses.
  • Apply up-to-date medical knowledge while treating patients.
  • Present patients to consultants in case of diagnostic or therapeutic difficulties.
  • Take administrative responsibilities regarding punctuality and efficiency of medical officer residents.
  • Perform tasks assigned by consultants related to training and education of Medical Officers to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Be the first on call for ER, inpatient consults, crash calls, and admitted cardiac patients.
  • Manage medical conditions and document all admitted, discharged, or expired patients.
  • Manage day care patients and their discharges.
  • Coordinate patient transfers within the hospital.
  • Inform consultants about patient conditions when necessary.
  • Write handovers for the next Medical Officer, highlighting good patient care practices.
  • Maintain logs of ER/IPD consults.
  • Cover other Medical Officers on public holidays and vacations to ensure smooth ICU operations.
  • Must be ACLS certified.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).
