Job Title: Sr. QC Engineer (Hardware & Embedded Systems)

Job Nature: Full-time (Regular)

Experience: 3-5 Years

Reports to: Head of QC & PMO

Work Nature: Onsite

Job Purpose:

To ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance of electronic circuits and embedded systems by conducting rigorous functional, electrical, and firmware-level testing. This role will validate hardware modules, PCB assemblies, and embedded software against engineering specifications, helping to deliver robust and production-ready hardware platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end validation of electronic circuits, PCBAs, and embedded devices.
  • Conduct electrical testing including signal integrity, voltage/current measurements, and EMI/noise analysis.
  • Use laboratory tools and instruments such as:
  • Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Logic Analyzers
  • Function Generators, Power Supplies
  • Soldering/Rework Stations (as required)
  • Verify designs against schematics, PCB layouts, and component datasheets.
  • Validate firmware features controlling hardware modules (e.g., LCD, GPS, sensors).
  • Flash firmware updates and verify integration with hardware systems.
  • Work closely with embedded engineers to trace and reproduce bugs for resolution.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, checklists, test cases, and traceability matrices.
  • Log defects using tools like Jira and follow established change control processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in hardware quality control or validation engineering.
  • Proficiency in reading circuit schematics and understanding PCB layout design.
  • Experience in testing discrete modules like LCD, GPS, communication ICs, etc.
  • Working knowledge of defect tracking and QA documentation tools (e.g., Jira, TestLink).

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and precision in testing and documentation.
  • Effective communicator—able to collaborate with engineering, QA, and production teams.
  • Self-driven and capable of handling multiple test cycles in parallel.
