We are currently expanding our international business outreach and are looking for a skilled business development executive to lead business acquisition efforts, including managing end-to-end RFP/RFQ/RFI processes independently.
Role Overview:
This role is responsible for identifying international business opportunities, managing proposal submissions (RFP/RFQ/RFI), and driving the complete pre-sales and client acquisition cycle. You will own the full responsibility of sourcing opportunities, preparing all documentation, collaborating internally where needed, and ensuring timely, accurate submissions that meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Outreach
- Research and identify new international business opportunities aligned with Applivity's software services.
- Reach out to potential clients via cold emails, LinkedIn, networking platforms, and other outbound channels.
- Build, nurture, and manage a strong pipeline of qualified international leads.
- Conduct virtual or in-person meetings and presentations to pitch services.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with global clients and decision-makers.
- Represent Applivity in international webinars, trade shows, or networking forums.
RFP/RFQ/RFI Management (Handled Individually)
- Monitor and identify relevant RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs across international platforms and procurement channels.
- Analyze client requirements and eligibility criteria from tender/RFP documents.
- Independently draft, structure, and submit high-quality, tailored proposals with technical and business input.
- Coordinate with internal teams (designers, developers, or project leads) to collect technical inputs, case studies, and timelines when required.
- Write customized executive summaries, company profiles, project approaches, and solution overviews.
- Ensure timely submission of all proposal documents and adherence to submission formats and guidelines.
- Follow up on submitted proposals, address clarification questions from clients, and handle documentation updates.
- Maintain an RFP/RFQ tracker with timelines, status, and win/loss records.
- Improve response quality by analyzing feedback and refining proposal templates over time.
CRM & Reporting
- Use Salesforce or any CRM to maintain records of leads, outreach activities, and proposal progress.
- Report weekly on business development activities, submitted proposals, and results.
- Track and analyze proposal outcomes to improve future submissions and response quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, IT, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in B2B business development or pre-sales for software/IT services
- Hands-on experience managing RFP/RFQ/RFI end-to-end processes independently
- Exceptional proposal writing, documentation, and client communication skills
- Familiarity with international bidding standards, procurement portals, and proposal formats
- Strong knowledge of software development services, project scoping, and tech solutions
- Excellent English writing, proofreading, and presentation preparation skills
- Proficiency in using Salesforce or any modern CRM system
- Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working with international clients across multiple time zones
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in responding to RFPs from regions like North America, the UK, the GCC, or Europe
- Familiarity with platforms like Upwork, Clutch, Freelancer, GoodFirms, etc.
- Understanding of pricing models, NDAs, MSAs, and service agreements
- Experience writing proposals for software development, app development, SaaS products, or enterprise solutions
- Multilingual abilities or cross-cultural communication skills (a plus)
