A US based Company is looking for a Financial Controller for its Karachi-based office who will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and compliance. This role ensures the financial health and sustainability of the organization by overseeing accounting processes, and implementing. The person should be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Monitor cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

3. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax reporting and audit requirements.
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors and regulatory agencies.

4. Strategic Planning:

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
  • Evaluate and improve financial performance, cost management, and operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in long-term financial planning and goal setting.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for team members.

6. System Optimization:

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial software and systems.
  • Ensure the integration of data across departments for efficient reporting and operations.

Key Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

Salary and Benefits
