Job Title: Biostatistician

Position Summary: Responsible for designing statistical models that support clinical research efforts. Designs and develops research projects, manages data, and interprets statistical analysis. May assist clinical researchers with report and document preparation.

Essential Functions:
  1. Draw conclusions or make predictions based on data summaries or statistical analyses.
  2. Analyze clinical or survey data using statistical methods such as longitudinal analysis, mixed-effect modeling, logistic regression, and model-building techniques.
  3. Write detailed analysis plans and descriptions of findings for research protocols or reports.
  4. Calculate sample size requirements for clinical studies.
  5. Stay current with methodological or conceptual developments by reading literature, attending meetings, and consulting colleagues.
  6. Collaborate with physicians, life scientists, or other professionals to design research studies.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's Degree in Biostatistics or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years as a biostatistician or data analyst preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • High computer literacy.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to structure tasks logically and set priorities.
    • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to analyze data statistically and present findings logically.
