Job Summary:

Nopex Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Team Lead – Estimation Engineer (MEP) with a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of experience working in the U.S. construction market and will be responsible for leading a team of estimation engineers.

This role focuses on preparing and reviewing accurate cost estimates, managing quantity takeoffs, ensuring estimate quality, and leading the team to meet project deadlines with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of MEP estimation engineers to deliver high-quality and timely cost estimates.
  • Prepare, review, and validate detailed cost estimates for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Oversee and conduct quantity takeoffs from project drawings and technical specifications.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews of team estimates and ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze project documents, including drawings and specifications, to define scope and cost drivers.
  • Coordinate with project managers and technical teams to gather and validate project requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of project timelines aligned with cost estimates.
  • Monitor ongoing project costs and update estimates as required.
  • Keep up to date with industry standards, materials, codes, and pricing trends.
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in team training and meetings.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in MEP estimation for U.S.-based projects.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or team coordination role is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, materials, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in Trimble Accubid MEP Expert is required.
  • Familiarity with other tools like Bluebeam, Planswift, etc., is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
