Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Team Lead – Estimation Engineer (MEP) with a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience working in the US and will lead a team of estimation engineers. This role involves preparing and reviewing accurate cost estimates, overseeing quantity takeoffs, ensuring the quality of estimates, and managing a team to deliver timely and precise results for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of MEP estimation engineers to deliver high-quality and timely cost estimates.
  • Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of detailed cost estimates for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Oversee and perform quantity takeoffs from project drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) reviews of estimates and takeoffs submitted by team members.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to define scope and identify potential cost factors.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather and validate project requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of project timelines based on cost estimations.
  • Monitor project costs during execution and update estimations when necessary.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, labor rates, codes, and best practices.
  • Participate in team meetings, mentor junior staff, and provide technical guidance as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in MEP estimation for the US market.
  • Proven leadership or team coordination experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, materials, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in estimation and takeoff software (e.g., Trimble Desktop Bluebeam, Plan swift, or similar tools).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
