Position Overview:

We are seeking a Professional Grants and Proposal Writer with at least 3 years of experience to join our team in Islamabad. This role is essential to securing funding that will enable us to expand and enhance our educational programs. As part of the Sunbeams team, you will directly contribute to the growth of our school system by crafting persuasive proposals, building relationships with donors, and identifying new opportunities for funding.

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Writing: Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors. Align proposals with our mission and the funder's priorities to increase success rates.

Proposal Development: Work closely with the program team, leadership, and finance department to develop comprehensive proposals, including budgets, project plans, and timelines.

Funding Research: Identify new, relevant funding opportunities that support the school system's initiatives, including scholarships, infrastructure development, and educational innovations.

Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate donor reports and ensure compliance with the specific requirements of each grant.

Fundraising Strategy: Support fundraising efforts by contributing to the development of strategies to secure resources for educational programs and school system expansion.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information, craft compelling narratives, and ensure proposals are aligned with Sunbeams' goals.

Donor Stewardship: Assist in developing strong relationships with current donors and ensure they are kept informed and engaged with the school system's progress.

Key Qualifications:

Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in grant writing or proposal writing, preferably in the education sector or with nonprofits. Experience working with international donors is an asset.

Skills:

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

Ability to translate complex educational concepts into clear, persuasive language.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience in developing proposals for small and large-scale educational projects.

Familiarity with grant management software and tools.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Education, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Knowledge: Solid understanding of the educational funding landscape, both locally and internationally.

Languages: Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Knowledge of Urdu is a plus.
