Job Description

Extensia is seeking a highly experienced Kotlin developer to provide expert guidance to our development team. This is a fractional, flexible role requiring only a few hours per week, perfect for an expert looking to share their knowledge and insights. Work can be performed remotely, and the ideal candidate can be located anywhere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on best practices for Kotlin development, including architecture, design patterns, and coding standards.
  • Recommend and evaluate services, libraries, and solutions for the development team to leverage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues.
  • Monitor and ensure code quality meets project specifications.
  • Mentor Kotlin developers, providing actionable feedback and direction.
  • Collaborate with the team asynchronously or in scheduled sessions to fit your availability.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Kotlin and Android applications.
  • Expertise in guiding teams on mobile application architecture, including MVVM, Clean Architecture, and dependency injection frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of advanced troubleshooting and debugging techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and code quality tools.
Preferred Experience
  • Hands-on knowledge of tools and technologies such as Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Room, or Firebase.
  • Experience integrating and optimizing third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Previous experience mentoring developers or leading technical teams.
