JOB TITLE: Sales Development Executive

DEPARTMENT: Business Development

REPORTS TO: Team Lead

PURPOSE:

The Sales Development Executive (SDE) will serve as the initial point of contact for inbound prospects, playing a critical role in qualifying leads and creating sales opportunities. This role supports the business development function by initiating and nurturing relationships with potential clients, ultimately booking meetings for the sales team to drive revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with inbound leads through email, phone, and chat to understand their needs and qualify them based on defined criteria

  • Conduct high-volume prospecting to identify potential business opportunities

  • Nurture relationships with prospects through personalized follow-ups and content sharing

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified leads and the sales team

  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and lead status in CRM systems

  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and targeting

  • Stay up to date on company offerings, industry trends, and competitive landscape

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role, preferably in a technology or B2B environment

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and professionally

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to learn

  • Basic understanding of sales processes and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)

  • Demonstrated technical/functional expertise in business development
