Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the maintenance function of injection molding machines, molds, and related utilities. Ensure maximum equipment uptime, preventive maintenance execution, breakdown control, spare parts management, and team development, while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:Maintenance Management

• Plan, implement, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for injection molding machines, molds, and ancillary equipment.
• Minimize unplanned downtime through timely and efficient troubleshooting and root cause analysis of machine breakdowns.
• Ensure quick and effective resolution of equipment issues to support uninterrupted production.

Mold & Machine Maintenance & Monitoring

• Monitor mold and machine performance, wear patterns, and cycle times to identify potential failures.
• Work closely with the molding and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and recommend long-term solutions.

Spare Parts & Inventory Management

• Ensure optimal inventory of critical mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic parts.
• Maintain accurate stock levels in coordination with PPC and procurement teams to avoid any disruption in maintenance activities.

Utilities & Support Systems

• Supervise the maintenance of auxiliary systems including chillers, compressors, dryers, and other injection molding support infrastructure.
• Ensure optimal utility performance with regular checks and timely servicing.

Team Supervision & Development

• Lead and develop the maintenance team with training programs and technical development plans.
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct regular assessments, and build a culture of ownership and accountability.

Safety, Compliance & 6S

• Enforce workplace safety procedures and preventive measures to reduce risks.
• Ensure all maintenance work is compliant with safety regulations, ISO standards, and internal SOPs.
• Promote 6S practices in maintenance workshops and service areas.

Project Support & Coordination

• Collaborate with the production and engineering teams on new mold or machine installations, modifications, and improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical insights during vendor selection, equipment specification, and installation.

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, including labor, parts, tools, and service contracts.
• Monitor maintenance expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising reliability.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdown history, and equipment performance.
• Ensure timely reporting of key KPIs such as MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and downtime hours.

Additional Duties

• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Factory Manager or Technical Director.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in injection molding maintenance, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems of injection molding machines.
• Experience in managing maintenance teams in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems for maintenance planning and reporting.
