Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Pakistan

About Enertia

Enertia is a premium high-end electronics and appliances company specializing in heat pumps. As the only manufacturer of these products in Pakistan, we are pushing the boundaries of engineering and design.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing R&D team and take ownership of designing every mechanical part of our appliances.

Key Responsibilities


• Create accurate internal and external technical drawings for CNC machining, lathe, milling, and welding.

  • Has experience working with sheet metal components.


• Design injection-molded components for appliance manufacturing.


• Develop detailed mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).


• Work closely with production teams to ensure manufacturability of designs.


• Optimize parts for cost, weight, durability, and ease of manufacturing.


• Evaluate prototypes and refine designs based on testing and feedback.


• Choose the appropriate materials for different mechanical components.


• Ensure parts meet strength, heat resistance, and regulatory requirements.


• Work with electrical engineers, industrial designers, and product managers to develop cohesive product designs.


• Maintain proper revision control and documentation for all mechanical designs.

Required Skills & Experience


• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.


• Experience: 5+ years in mechanical design for appliances or consumer electronics.


• Software Proficiency: Strong experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar CAD tools.


• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, lathe, milling, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.


• Strong understanding of injection molding processes.


• Familiarity with 3D printing and rapid prototyping is a plus.


• Problem-Solving & Innovation: Ability to design efficient, cost-effective, and reliable mechanical solutions.


• Communication Skills: Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
