Job Title: Social & Labour Coordinator

You will join a growing team within our Pakistan function as part of the Responsible Sourcing team. In cooperation with our global sourcing teams, we are responsible for developing and implementing BESTSELLER's policies and standards, as well as achieving our sustainability targets throughout the supply chain.

As a Social & Labour Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to manage the supply chain concerning factories' social and labour performance in Pakistan. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including sourcing and buying teams, suppliers, and sustainable materials organizations. You will report to the Social & Labour Manager.

You will play a vital role in achieving BESTSELLER's sustainability goals. Your specific responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes for suppliers and factories.
  2. Maintaining and updating the supplier and factory database to ensure accuracy.
  3. Monitoring factory verification schedules and conducting assessments to evaluate social and labour compliance.
  4. Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of assessment data.
  5. Supporting the Social and Labour team with compliance cases.
  6. Providing technical advice to suppliers and assisting with corrective action plans.
  7. Supporting internal teams with compliance data collection and coordination.
  8. Training sourcing factories on the Code of Conduct and legal requirements.
  9. Responding to inquiries regarding supplier/factory performance.
  10. Supporting the implementation of social and labour management projects and programs.
  11. Coordinating third-party audits.
  12. Staying informed on industry standards and legal developments.
  13. Providing administrative support as needed.

Success criteria include:

  • Routine verification at sourcing factories.
  • Preparation of factory assessment reports.
  • Maintaining an accurate database.
  • Supporting colleagues in implementing the Code of Conduct.
  • Acting as a collaborative team member.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Labour Laws, or Human Rights.
  • Experience in social compliance, sustainability, or human resource management in the garment/textile industry or buying houses is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive with a positive attitude, high work ethics, and integrity.
  • Professional certifications such as SA8000, ISO45000 are a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, with an open mind and energy.
  • Skills required include apparel industry knowledge, legal compliance, problem-solving, and project management.
