Responsibility Expectations

HOTO Review & Approval: Review the project scope, tender along with Manager, highlight the risks & challenges. Review the cost in line with project scope and technical specifications. Have a complete understanding of the solution offered.

Preparation of Project Schedule: Prepare project schedule in MSP with clearly defined critical path and milestones, and highlight clearance required from the customer.

System Knowledge: Data Center Projects hands-on experience (10-12 years) with installation, testing & commissioning of CCTV, Access, BMS, and Fire Alarm Systems. Certifications for commissioning of security and fire detection systems are required.

Project Management: Hands-on experience in Data Center Project Management, Vendor Management, and Testing & Commissioning processes.

Resource and Subcontractor Deployment: Ensure competent resources are deployed at the site to handle the project effectively. Efficient and competent subcontractors with adequate manpower are to be deployed to meet the project timeline.

Monitoring Site Progress - Planned Vs Actual: Review the design and construction progress with the design and project team weekly, and may be daily depending on the volume and complexity of the project. Conduct site walks with the Project Engineer to monitor site progress in line with the schedule.

Quality Check and Audits: During site walks, check for the quality of installation. Ensure audits are done periodically and findings are addressed immediately. Ensure project engineers do not repeat the findings of audits.

VO Management: Create VO opportunities, tender/non-tender/time extension cost escalation. VO of 10-15% of project value.

Site Meetings: Be part of site meetings, raise alerts for dependencies or clearances that may impact project deliveries. Escalate to the next level of PMC/customer if dependencies are not getting cleared.

Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure project deliveries are met. Highlight to the next level in the organization if any support is required to ensure project timelines are not hampered.

Maintain Project Cash Flow - UBR/Collection/VO: Timely invoicing/AR collection/VO. Push for VO with the site team. Maintain an account statement for each project.

Project Completion and Handover: Pre-commissioning checks to be done before T&C. Ask for any technical or resource support from the manager in advance. Start preparing O&M and as-built manuals during the pre-commissioning stage only.
