Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our web applications through comprehensive manual testing and test automation. This role requires a strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual tests across web applications to identify bugs, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test plans for new and existing features.
  • Develop and implement automated test scripts using Cypress to increase test coverage and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Document and track bugs in defect tracking systems and follow through to resolution.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure bug fixes and new features don't impact existing functionality.
  • Conduct functional, compatibility, and performance testing as needed.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably with web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience in writing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance processes.
  • Experience with test automation, particularly using Cypress.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
