We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building data pipelines, managing data architecture, and ensuring data quality and security across cloud environments. This role requires close collaboration with data scientists, business analysts, and IT teams to translate data requirements into robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, and other Azure services.
  • Build and optimize data storage solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and relational databases on Azure.
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading from various sources.
  • Implement data governance, security, and privacy best practices within Azure environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and uptime.
  • Automate data workflows and develop scripts using Python, SQL, or other relevant technologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest Azure data tools and services, applying best practices to optimize data solutions.
  • Document data architecture, pipelines, and processes for future maintenance and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Azure cloud platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and related services.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other data scripting languages.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with big data frameworks like Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks is a plus.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workflows.
  • Knowledge of machine learning integrations on Azure.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
