As we scale, we are seeking a dynamic Sales Team Lead to drive business growth and lead a high-performing sales team.

Job SummaryThe Sales Team Lead will be responsible for leading end-to-end sales efforts with a strong emphasis on lead generation and pipeline development. This role requires proactive outreach, strategic prospecting, and the ability to create qualified opportunities for the sales team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can guide, coach, and motivate the team to meet and exceed revenue goals while expanding ROOTS RCM's presence in the healthcare market.
Key Responsibilities- Drive lead generation initiatives through outbound efforts, strategic networking, referrals, industry research, and marketing alignment.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted healthcare sectors, including physician groups, clinics, and specialty practices.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by ensuring a continuous flow of qualified leads.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to support business growth and market expansion.
- Guide the sales team through the full sales cycle from lead qualification to deal closure.
- Maintain expert knowledge of ROOTS RCM's services (medical billing, credentialing, RCM support) and communicate their value effectively.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaign development, messaging, and content strategy to boost lead engagement.
- Analyze sales data and KPIs to track performance, identify trends, and optimize team productivity.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and healthcare regulations to keep ROOTS RCM competitive and relevant.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and online forums.
- Coordinate with operations, onboarding, and support teams to ensure smooth client transitions.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Provide feedback from clients and the market to improve service offerings.
- Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting and lead generation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 4+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in healthcare, RCM, or medical SaaS.
- 1–2 years of team leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing a sales pipeline.
- Strong experience in lead generation and business development.
- Excellent spoken English and written communication skills.
- Deep understanding of U.S. healthcare workflows, medical billing, and credentialing services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and results-oriented mindset.
