Summary
Excellent record-keeping skills are essential. The candidate must have experience in detailed accounting of planning, execution, and analysis of experiments. The role requires fundamental skills to plan, execute, and analyze experiments semi-independently, with ongoing development of these skills to anticipate and overcome potential pitfalls. The position involves analyzing diverse data sets to form hypotheses and designing experiments to advance projects. Interpretation of data, troubleshooting, and preparing presentations and reports are key components.
Experienced technicians skilled in techniques such as flow cytometry, Western blot, PCR, and cell culture are preferred. Experience in animal handling, husbandry, mice dissection, and primary cell isolation is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Essential Functions

  • Executing protocols for non-routine experiments
  • Assisting PI in selecting methodologies
  • Designing and modifying protocols
  • Calculating, transcribing, and analyzing data
  • Preparing and presenting reports
  • Organizing data using scientific and statistical techniques
  • Participating in experiment and fieldwork design

Education
Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.

Experience
1-2 years of previous research lab experience required.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Competency with FloJo and PRISM
- Highly organized and methodical
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work constructively in a team
