To scale our project pipeline, we are looking for a skilled Business Developer who can actively bid on and win projects from online platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer.com, Fiverr, PeoplePerHour, Toptal, and similar marketplaces.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Business Developer with proven experience in winning IT projects from online freelance platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, bid on, and secure web, software, and app development projects for our company. You will act as the front-line growth driver by building a consistent flow of high-value client projects.

This is an onsite role, requiring coordination with our technical teams and management at our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Sourcing & Bidding

1.Actively search, shortlist, and apply for relevant projects on Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr, Guru, Toptal, and other freelance platforms.

2.Write high-conversion, client-focused proposals tailored to project requirements.

3.Highlight our company's strengths, past work, and value proposition effectively.

·Client Acquisition

4.Build trust with potential clients through professional communication (messages, video calls, etc.).

5.Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs and suggest suitable solutions.

6.Negotiate scope, timelines, and pricing to close deals successfully.

·Profile & Portfolio Management

7.Maintain and optimize company profiles on freelance platforms (Upwork, Freelancer, etc.).

8.Showcase our portfolio, skills, certifications, and client testimonials.

9.Collect feedback and reviews to improve credibility and ranking.

·Pipeline & Reporting

10.Maintain a clear project pipeline (active bids, in-progress, won/lost).

11.Provide daily/weekly reports on:

- Number of proposals submitted

- Response rate

- Win rate

- Revenue generated

12.Analyze bidding performance and suggest improvements.

·Team Collaboration

13.Work closely with project managers and technical leads to ensure accurate scoping and feasibility.

14.Hand over won projects smoothly to the delivery team.

·Market & Competitor Research

15.Monitor top-performing competitors on freelance platforms.

16.Identify trending services, pricing models, and client demands.

Required Skills & Qualifications

·Experience: 2+ years in freelance platform bidding, business development, or sales (IT services preferred).

·Proven Track Record: Successfully won projects on Upwork or similar platforms (please share profile links or examples).

·Strong Writing Skills: Ability to write persuasive, clear, and error-free proposals.

·Understanding of IT Services: Familiarity with web development , software development, and mobile apps (iOS/Android).

·Tools: Proficient in Upwork, Freelancer, CRM tools, Google Workspace, and Zoom.

·Self-Motivated: Goal-driven with the ability to work independently and meet targets.

·Onsite Availability: Must be able to work from our office in Lahore for team coordination and meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

·Experience managing multiple Upwork accounts or agency profiles.

·Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, or proposal automation tools (e.g., Upwork bots, templates).

·Past success in securing long-term clients or recurring contracts.
