Key Responsibilities:

  1. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation, such as traffic delays, breakdowns, or delivery discrepancies.
  2. Documentation: Ensure that all required documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, are accurately completed and processed.
  3. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to customer inquiries and concerns, and updating them on the status of their shipments.
  4. Compliance: Stay updated on relevant transportation regulations and ensure that all shipments comply with legal requirements.
  5. Tracking and Monitoring: Use tracking software and systems to monitor the progress of shipments and provide real-time updates to stakeholders.
  6. Reporting: Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation operations, such as on-time deliveries and cost metrics.
  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including drivers, warehouse personnel, and customer service representatives, to ensure smooth operations.
  8. Route Planning: Plan and optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  9. Order Scheduling: Schedule and assign shipments to available drivers and vehicles, taking into account delivery deadlines and customer requirements.
  10. Communication: Maintain regular communication with drivers, providing them with necessary information and updates regarding their routes and deliveries.
