Job Summary:

The Freight Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods. They are responsible for coordinating and monitoring all aspects of the transportation process, from scheduling shipments to communicating with drivers and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation, such as traffic delays, breakdowns, or delivery discrepancies.
2. Documentation: Ensure that all required documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, are accurately completed and processed.
3. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to customer inquiries and concerns, and updating them on the status of their shipments.
4. Compliance: Stay updated on relevant transportation regulations and ensure that all shipments comply with legal requirements.
5. Tracking and Monitoring: Use tracking software and systems to monitor the progress of shipments and provide real-time updates to stakeholders.
6. Reporting: Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation operations, such as on-time deliveries and cost metrics.
7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including drivers, warehouse personnel, and customer service representatives, to ensure smooth operations.
