
Director Sales Engineering

Zed Consulting is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director Sales Engineering to lead technical sales efforts and drive business growth. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, be skilled in solution design, and have experience working closely with sales teams and customers to deliver tailored technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth technical knowledge and support during the sales process, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept activities.
Solution Design: Work closely with customers and internal teams to understand business requirements and design customized technology solutions.
Proposal Development: Assist the sales team in crafting technical proposals, including solution architecture, specifications, and implementation strategies.
Customer Engagement: Identify technical challenges faced by clients and provide optimal solutions through expert consultation and recommendations.
RFP/RFI Responses: Prepare detailed responses for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring comprehensive coverage of client requirements.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain solution architecture diagrams, specifications, and user guides.
Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to provide informed strategic insights.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue growth through strategic technical engagement.
Candidate Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in technical sales, presales, or solutions engineering.
Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in software development, IT services, and enterprise technology solutions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and ability to develop creative solutions to meet customer needs.
Customer-Focused: Ability to build relationships with clients, understand their challenges, and offer tailored technical solutions.
